a message from us

After much reflection, and with great sadness, we have made the very difficult decision to wind down our Shaka Tea business.

From its founding, Shaka Tea sought to create value for the Hawai‘i agriculture community by practicing direct trade with local farmers and generating additional demand for māmaki tea across the United States. We’ve worked hard to pursue this vision and while we’ve had some success, we’ve also experienced significant economic and technical challenges. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find a financially sustainable path for the business.

Shaka Tea will continue to be available in retail stores and online for the next several months. We would be grateful for your support of our retail partners as they make available the remaining supply of Shaka Tea.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to our valued employees, farmers, customers and partners for your support and love for Shaka Tea over the years. Your belief in Shaka Tea has been meaningful and encouraging, and we couldn’t have made it this far without you.

Mahalo for being part of the Shaka Tea ʻohana.
