Championing sustainable agriculture and abundance.

Shaka Tea was founded in 2016 by Honolulu born and raised Bella Hughes and her husband Harrison Rice. Since 2018, Shaka Tea has called Hilo, Hawai'i home.

Rooted in our commitment to the health of ʻāina, our community, and our customers, Shaka Tea champions sustainable agriculture and economic abundance in Hawaiʻi, practicing direct trade and working with local farmers.

Since 2016, we have:

Given away 35,000 māmaki seedlings to help local farmers get started.

Practiced direct trade to pay a premium to local farmers.

Continuously restored native ecosystem habitats.

Created more local jobs in the islands to support our community.

Be the aloha you wish to see in the world.

From leaf to bottle,

Team Shaka Tea lives our mission.
